Remove Organizational Chart

Sometimes, you may want to remove an organizational chart that you no longer need or use. OrgChartX provides a safe and easy way to do that, by using the "Trash" function.

The "Trash" function works like the "Trash" in the macOS system, which means that the organizational charts are not deleted immediately, but stored temporarily for data safety. You can restore the organizational charts from the "Trash" view to the "My Charts" view, or permanently delete them from the "Trash" view.

Move to Trash

To move an organizational chart from the "My Charts" view to the "Trash" view, you can do the following:

Move to Trash

  • In the welcome window, long press on the icon of an organizational chart to show the context menu. (When on a Mac, Right-click or Ctrl + click on the icon to show the context menu)
  • Tap the "Move to Trash" menu to move the organizational chart from the "My Charts" view to the "Trash" view.

The moved organizational chart will disappear from the "My Charts" view, and appear in the "Trash" view.

Permanently Delete from Trash

To permanently delete an organizational chart from the "Trash" view, you can do the following:

Trash

  • In the welcome window, tap the "Trash" button on the toolbar to switch to the "Trash" view.
  • Tap on the organizational chart that you want to delete in the list. You will see a menu with various options.
  • Tap the "Delete" button on the toolbar to permanently delete the organizational chart from the "Trash" view.
  • You will see a confirmation message asking you if you are sure to delete the chart permanently. Tap "Yes" to confirm, or "No" to cancel.

The deleted organizational chart will be removed from the "Trash" view, and you will not be able to restore it or access it again.

Data Loss

Once you delete an organizational chart from the "Trash" view, it is gone forever. There is no way to recover it, unless you have a backup copy of it. Please be careful when you delete an organizational chart, and make sure you don't need it anymore.
