Where are your charts stored?​

Your charts are stored securely on the iCloud server with CloudKit database, and you can access them from any device that has OrgChartX installed and signed in with the same Apple ID. Your devices also keep a local copy of your charts, which is automatically synced with the iCloud server.

OrgChartX allows you to export your online charts as files with the .orgchartx extension. You can use these files as backups or share them with other users. To open these files, you need to import them to OrgChartX as new online charts stored on iCloud.

How to Make Certain Content Show or Disappear on an Organizational Chart

Organizational charts do not adhere to a universally mandated standard regarding the content they must display or the data they can manage. OrgChartX embraces this flexibility, offering customizable options to suit the specific and varying needs of different organizations.

  1. Node Information Management: You have the autonomy to choose what information to manage for each node in your organizational chart, such as name, age, salary, job title, and more, based on the unique needs of your business. OrgChartX allows you to select and customize these fields, adjust their attributes, and reorder them as necessary. For detailed guidance, please consult our Fields Customization Guide.

  2. Field Visibility Control: OrgChartX enables you to selectively display information in your organizational chart. You can decide which fields are visible for each node, ensuring your chart only shows what is relevant or required.
